what is the difference between a 94-95 mass air meter and a 89-93 mass air meter. i know of someone selling a a pro m off of a 92. will this work on my car. i know there is a issue with the flange to keep the filter on. But what other diffrences are there.

i know that they will physically plug in, and my brother claimed that my old 73mm c+l gave his fox more power, but there has to be a reason that they specify maf's for 94-95 and fox's...............BUT when people do A9l swaps, do they swap mass air?

will not work the plug in is different. Our computers are very wierd and if the meter is not calibrated correctly you will either run too lean or too rich get one specifically for the car and if you do the A9L swap you do not change meters the plug in to the computer takes care of all that.

Actually it will work the plug is not different. I've run a FOX Pro-M 77MM for years. They changed the connector in 1996. The reason there were 94-95 specific meters is for the 4 bolt flange that came stock on our cars. Most of don't use the stock air box anymore so an 89-95 meter will work fine.

So they will plug in and work?

has anyone else done this. do they make a cold air intake that allows the use of a 88-93 mass air meter.
