Hey everyone upgrading to 30 lb injectors and bought some off a local guy that sells fox body parts. Got some red tops with a pro flow mass air meter. Calibration says 19 con. Can the meter still be calibrated for the 30s? There’s a serial number on here if anyone can tell me if I can use this mass air meter with the red tops. Used to the inside being painted red or blue. Info on pic thanks in advance.

There long out of business, might be able to get it recalibrated from the current owner of pro-m but not really sure its worth it.... 19lb conical filter so pretty much a stock transfer table. C&l was the one with color coded sample tubes, there also long gone after american muscle bought them out.

Figured they weren't in business anymore after a quick google search lol. Dang stock, I guess the original owner had this mass air meter tuned to 30s allegedly. I guess Ill find out more when I get the car going today. Planning a tune fairly soon hopefully in the next month or 2, Thanks for the quick responses guys!

Plan on getting a tune just wanted to be able to drive it today, I probably can just going to be running rich Id assume.
I would not run that with 30# injectors and not tuned for it, Let's say you try to start it but it doesn't fire right away, now you're washing down the cylinders with too much fuel which can lead to bigger engine problems later from lack of oiling. It's your car, but leave the 19# injectors with that meter until you get it tuned.

seller said it was tuned to 30s from previous owner, is there a way to verify? Im assuming not.

You do realize that a mass air meter that is "skewed" to operate with an A9L/P and (insert injector flavor here), is [not] the end of the solution, right?

It's an approximation that [still] requires tuning.
Yes, Id just like to be able to drive it for a few weeks before I save up some money before a tune. Its my daily.

Rog. So long as you understand that things will go wrong. O_o

Under those conditions, I'd pop in the meter and injectors and fire it. See what happens.

Question: Why 30's? Do you have boost one the way?

I have a running 347 stroker HCI. bought a 150 shot of nitrous a while back and want to install it, had 24s for all motor but did some research and looking like ill need 30s for the nitrous with my setup. Got a good deal on a holley manifold and while installing it noticed 2 caps were broken on my injectors called around for caps to replace them no store carries them need the car asap and called a local guy that deals w a lot of fox body parts had the 30s on hand with that meter. So just might have to install the 24s again since im unsure about the meter
