The equalizer in my 1988 Saleen cuts out every once in a while and I am trying to replace it. (It still has power, so I think the built-in amp is starting to fail.) I am not able to get any sound from one speaker. I've even connected the speaker to the output of one of the working speakers and still nothing. Did Saleen (or Ford) have any inline fuses between the stereo and the speakers. Or is there something else I should check.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Bryan

There are no in-line fuses between the EQ and speakers, nor any crossovers. Did you try to run a temp speaker wire from the EQ to the speaker that is failing? Is it a door, dask or quarter panel speaker? If you've connected the speaker to another source that you know works, sounds like there's a short in the wiring. Just my 2¢.

The speaker I was connecting should have been the driver's door. I guess I will run a temporary line to the speaker. The speaker did work before I started switching over to the new equalizer, so I don't know what could have caused it to stop working.

Thanks for the help
