i am in the process of putting a t-5 out of my 87 in my 95. do you guys think that it would be easier to swap the input shaft or the bellhousing? i do have all the necessary parts as they are both running cars. also i read of a minor crossmember issue. details on that would be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

is the input shaft swap straight up? i don't really like to mess w/ trannys (internally i mean) but i guess i could pull it off.

does anyone know if they are interchangable?

WEll i just picked up the car, and took it to mustang magic for some synthetic and ended up with a nightmare. The older t5 was in my sn95 which explains a lot

The shifter itself is not in the right spot being about an inch toward the engine, the k member doesn't meet where it should and the guy jerry rigged a universal mount. I was leaking tranny fluid because the driveshaft yolk is too short, so i need a spacer now, yes it can be done but not worth it, and the pressure plate was exactly lining up with the flywheel and i needed a new clutch welcome to my nightmare, went from $40 fluid change to 513 with labor and parts. clutch install, custom tranny mount, driveshaft spacer.
