Fox vs. SN95

The parts are interchangeable? I did not know that.

I like the 94-95's. My mom had an Indy500 Cobra...that was cool, and fun!

5 lug swaps, are based off the sn95.
Interiors,wheels etc etc etc.

You can swap out a t5 from a 94-95 by using the input shaft from a fox, or buy using the bell from the 94-95 with the 94-95 t5 together.
the 5.0 mtr is swapable.

the rears are swapable but the 94-95 rear is just a bit wider i think.

I went from a fox to my 01 gt auto. a lot to talk about.

things that arent really debatable:
01 has more comfort and power. every fox I see wants to race. Off the line they may get a jump but running them down is easy enough. given this is on the 70-80% of the foxes with minor bolt ons (exhaust)

my 88- probably the funnest car I have ever driven. the low end torque on those things is incredible. especially after the 373 swap. sooooo much easier to mod and less $$$$ out of your pocket. thumper heads, tmoss intake..... 12's.

01 gets way better MPG which is easier on the pocket book.

I owned my 88.... paying on the 01.

I have been torn on selling my 01gt nowadays because I miss the 5.0 but I am not so sure this is a wise decision. I could probably get an easy 200,000 miles out of this 01 where if I pick up a fox I would be working on it all the time and for what I could afford, the fox would need a lot of work LOL.

hindsight, should have kept my fox along with my 01gt.

i honestly don't think you can go wrong if i were to get a sn95 it atleast be a 99 and up remember the 99 is when they came out with PI heads and bigger gear ratio for the 8.8 rear end. I kinda like both if i was gonna get a fox it would have to be a 93 cobra or a coupe their are plenty of after market part's for both then again it is just me

Someone stated on here that about the accufab throttle body they made them for the fox sn95

I would never go back to a fox from my SN95, but I would like to own one. They are two very different types of cars.

For a DD/streetcar I LOVE the looks of my car, the 5.0 is just as easy to upgrage, some minor changes, but nothing terrible. The stock gears still suck ass.

2:73s make anything feel heavy.

Fox is cool only if it's like PRISTINE. They turn into ****boxes REAL fast.

I honestly feel unsafe driving the fox. Fox interiors are poopy and right angley. The SN 95 is THE best interior to go into a mustang IMO.

Bottom line: One is a hotrod. Nothing more. It's like a car from the 60s with power windows and a stereo. The sn95 is modern refined muscle. Cool seating position, smooth as silk stock, classic lines and sound.

I'd suggest driving a well modded sn95, its just raw enough to elude, yet very civil in design. I love it.

I think it may depend on your age. If you grew up when the Fox's hit big in the mid 80's... you may be partial to them.. like me. I'm planning on using my Fox as a DD this coming summer and can't wait. It's just a fun car to drive. Plus I was really let down by Ford when the SN95's came out. I was partial of course.

As far as comfort is concerned all I know is the Fox will make a better DD than my 67'.
