I looked into it and they only offer it for coupes. They said they will be offering the service to hatchbacks soon.

I was about to start restoring a set for my hatch....

But that price is pretty steep and they still want to see the window first, meaning you could lose your shipping costs for nothing

Need to refresh myself on how to do it. I have a pair of windows I want to restore. Just flexbile body filler, sand, repeat?

Close - High build primer, 400 grit. Repeat until pitting is gone and surface has the smooth surface you want. Spray with sealer, the SEM trim black. Takes a while, but requires little effort.

It sounds steep, but it's probably worth it. Good originals are almost impossible to find now. I have a friend with a foxbody pushing near 6 figures cost wise who bought LMR replacements, and they didn't even last a year.

Wow! What happened?
I redid mine, I am looking for another clean set to redo again. I could not bring myself to buy the LMR simply because they dont have the Mustang logo.

It's a long story that hasn't ended well. The car has been off the road for well over a decade. He spent over $2k on new seals, glass, etc after the car was torn down for new paint. Everything he bought from LMR was made in China. None of it fits well, and the car leaks water like a colander.

I haven't had good luck with much of the LMR stuff I bought either. A lot ended up in the trash. You really are better off refurbing oem stuff vs some of the Chinese parts.

I'm curious to see actual quality of the molded windows. I bought a set of windows for $50 so not much to lose by refurbing myself...but a full rerubberizatiin sounds interesting

There is a company that I ran across on FB doing restoration on them. I want to say it was $400 plus. They claim the high build primers further destroys the urethane. There process is a rubber or something and much better so they claim.

It's best not to get my started on the Chinese stuff. The conversation will never end. All the shower valves in my house are this old Gerber design. Gerber is long gone, but the only replacement parts are made by Danco in China. I have to replace the valves every year. The rubber gaskets and packings from China dry out and chip in that period of time. At some point I have to commit to changing the entire valve to a better brand. However, that means cutting the drywall out in the closets behind the showers, and shrinking in new valves. Do I keep taking the valves out every year, or commit to a major project?

I could tell you stories. I deal with Chinese machine shops and manufacturers all day long at work. I've caught them falsifying data and machine certs frequently. Getting old.

Ebay. It's popping up from time to time. Problem with that is you can't go shopping for what you need, you just have to wait until it pops up. I have a few alerts set for things like "87 93 Mustang NOS" and other terms.

A few months before I decided to change out my door seals, a set of NOS door weatherstripping popped up for a BIN of $150ish. I didn't buy them and decided to get the cheaper LRS strips.

Fortunately mine worked out ok, but I've kinda learned my lesson with the window run channel moldings. OEM is the way to go...even if you have to pay more.

I bought an LRS door lock actuator and it sucked. Didn't even work right out of the box and it's so weak. When an NOS actuator popped up on ebay, I bought it. Should have done that from the beginning.

Ahhh, this all leads to my thread "anyone else buy stuff you don't need?" When I find good quality used, or n.o.s. parts I buy them....even if I don't need them at the moment. When the time comes that I need something, it's pretty likely to be in my parts stash.
