What happened to Mike's post between 59 and 60? I saw it on my phone and wanted to see the details better, but its gone.

Accidentally deleted it. Meant to edit.

But it was this video. Not the same tester, but this runs through the operation.

I’ve since sold this machine.

Edit: looking at the texton 129, it looks like different operation completely

Mike -- this is an excellent write up. I bought this Rotunda unit in hopes of figuring out why my cc doesn't work, but it doesn't have the operator's manual. I hooked it up to my 86 Mustang and with the switch turned to On, the green light does not come on. Did you by chance keep a copy of the manual? If not, any idea where I might find one? I did a quick google search and didn't find one. thanks!

I no longer have my unit and manual as I sold it a while back as it was just gathering dust. But i did make a video in post #44. Not sure if you saw that.

Unfortunately I don't recall what it may have said about the green light. I know it says to see the manual, but I just no longer have it. I'd imagine it's a power issues perhaps?

I have a texton 129 I can sell you. I'd give you an SD card, or email you, the manual and other paperwork.

I don't want to buy another unit. I would like to see if I can get this Rotunda 007-00013 working -- and hoping if I can find a manual, I'll be able to figure it out. Is the Texton the same as the Rotunda?

Ok. Thought I'd offer you another option. The manuals to these tools are typically way more difficult to find than the tool itself.

From what I can see, there are differences between how the two units function even if they both come to the same results: cruise malfunction diagnostics.

I am confident that there are a number of members on this forum that likely have the Rotunda 007-00013 operator's manual, I just need to find one of those persons! I might try putting out a wanted post.

The CC setup is, for the most part, standalone. However, there are still external inputs that need to be met. The cruise control still need a VSS input for speed (VR type sensor), and the brake light monitor wiring needs to be kept intact, or cleverly bypassed. See the wiring diagrams.

Great information for these cars. If I get time I'll add some detail about dealer added cruise which I have. And it works!
Cheers.

Nice. I'd like to see your steering wheel setup (or wherever they put the controls).

I had dealer installed cruise in my car originally. Was an additional stalk on the left side. Worked ok, but I ended up removing it early on when I had the car. Later on I added factory cruise to my car so the info I learned went into this thread.

This is an excellent post with top notch info

I also added factory Ford Speed Control to my 1988 California 5.0 about 10 years ago.

For anyone doing the same, it’s really easy and no wires need to be cut and no holes need to be drilled.

It’s all plug and play.

All the parts are easy to find, except for the brackets for the vacuum release on the brake pedal.

I couldn’t find those anywhere.

I ended up buying a complete Automatic pedal assembly from eBay to get them.

I also have the Ford Rotunda Cruise Control tester and the manual to it if anyone needs pics from it.

LMR is now selling the cable that attaches to the throttle body and the servo.

https://lmr.com/item/LRS-9825BK/mustang-cruise-control-cable-86-93?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21804152373&gbraid=0AAAAAD62FUxziBtm_TnAa2gB0Qn4aQOkq&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyMDL5ryelAMVoDfUAR3n3SgXEAQYASABEgKJovD_BwE

If it was already mentioned I missed it and just wanted to make sure folks were aware.
