Suspension Foxbody mustang Steering shaft issue

Hello everyone, I'm hoping you can help me with my situation. I recently did a overhaul on the suspension on my foxbody mustang including: new inner and outer tie roads, endlinks, steering rack off set bushings and most importantly a BORGESON steering shaft. I ran into is the critical issue with the steering shaft, I noticed when I put it back on and verified that i did it correctly by centering the steering rack and put marks of where each side locks etc.. I found myself in this very odd situation in which when the steering shaft is perfectly centered between the 2 lines I marked but the steering wheel is rather off to the right, my initial though is its going to need an alignment as I can see both tie rods are very off, however my main issue is I noticed when the steering wheel is centered it only turns 3/4 of the way to the left and about 1 and 1/4 rotation when turning to the left.
is this normal and will it be fixed after getting it professionally aligned because when I went underneath the car and had someone turning the steering wheel lock to lock they were both perfectly symmetrical in-regards to having the exact same amount of turns per side before maxing out .

The first image is how the steering shaft look perfectly centered, the second image in the steering wheel fully locked to the left-hand the third image is fully locked to the right, if anyone has a non airbag car could you confirm if this is the correct positioning. And if anyone knows what the exact issue I'm facing I would greatly appreciate some feedback thanks.

I guess if it fit correctly it would be fine, though i think i would have it all welded.
Kinda another one of those reasons to just pay up for MM parts. Yeah, nobody would love another $150, but after hours of screwing with something that doesn't fit correct, the extra cost would pay for itself.
 
Its odd that when you put the OEM shaft back in it straightened up. I believe all you do is center the steering wheel and lock it somehow (i used ropes tied to my seat bottom), make sure the front wheels all look straight-forward, double check everything lines up and the steering wheel didn't shift. Do all this with the old shaft on, then remove it and install the new shaft. The rack side has a splined end so if everything is lined up, the splines should line up with the shaft already installed on the firewall side.

At least thats how i did it when i did my MM shaft.
