Foxbody Steering Column Rubbing Headers

Has any one had problems after swapping motors(the motor is still a 302 just a different one) with the steering column rubbing on the headers while trying to turn the car? If so please let me know if you found a solution or any suggestion would be great!

Need some more info on the car like year, header type things like that.

sorry im kinda new at the forum thing...plus its for my boyfriend...its a 1993 cobra but has a temporary 302 from a 92 gt. the headers r just the stock ones. everything is stock on the motor. again its just a temp for now cause he is building another motor but still wanted to be able to drive it since its nice weather out now.

where is the steering shaft rubbing? if its where the rag joint is you might be able to swap to a solid steering shaft ( maximum motorsports) for some more clearance.
