Only one problem though a shaker doesn't have a place on a bullit.

I love the project! It's already a nice ride but after you get done it will be very sweet. What is your plan for the headlights and tails? I think that some smoked headlights or some sort of darker looking headlights would be the only way to go. Some sort of brushed finish tailpipes with rolled tips would complete the package nicely.

The mustang from the movie "Bullitt" didn't have a shaker scoop.

The hood on the mustang from the movie did have 2 indentations that looked similat to the heat extractor hood.

Car from "Bullitt":

Don't get me wrong I love the shaker hood scoop but bullitt mustangs didn't have a shaker and like above the original 67 mustang in the movie bullitt had something similar to a heat extractor.

BTW I know where a 2001 bullitt that has been wreaked is sitting. I think the place is going to part the car out.

well sure but the late model ones have it i know this car isn't going to be an exact copy of the original, but i wouldn't say the shaker has no place.

I agree, but lets face it, the late model version didn't really have a lot of the original in it either....the wheels/grill/color were pretty much the whole deal. Hell it even came in black and blue, which is kinda dumb.

I had this idea a long time ago with my coupe but 1) i think an LX hatch would be better since the original was a fastback, and 2) like so many other ideas i've had, something better came to mind.

Well, there was a little more to them than that. They also had retro-style upholtery and gauge panels as well. I will agree offering them in something other than DHG was a dumb move for a tribute car.

Yeah i forgot about the interior. I read that Ford did it because they didn't think they could sell it in just DHG....pretty silly really. That'd be like Dodge bringing out a General Lee and offering it in blue and silver.

Im suprised its taken this long for someone to do a fox Bullitt...I have been thinking of this for a few months...I would suggest the late model Bullitt seats. If you really want to get detailed....The late model dash also... .Too bad you cant use the Bullitt intake....OOhhh 4.6 swap!!!!Good luck and keep us posted...
