After the rain, I got FT loaded up. It's ready for the trip to Charlotte.

Now, I have to pull the trans out of Black Jack and hope the reason the clutch won't disengage is an easy fix.

Larry whipped me again, this year. I can't beat this guy. He's too good! He got me 2 out of 3. His only loss was due to him red lighting. I didn't make blatant mistakes, like forgeting to arm nitrous or misshifting due to a faulty clutch as I did last year. This year, I just wasn't aggressive enough with the launch, and that'll come with more seat time and maybe some shock/strut tweaking.

Racing his car is actually a blast! He basically leaves me at the line, lol, 60-footing 3 to 4 tenths better, and then Black Jack starts running down the GTO towards the end, trapping ~93-94 mph to his 86-87mph. So, it makes for a close finish. Now, if I do get back to trapping 1.8 60's or so, it's going to be a photo finish!

Gotta hand it to Larry. He's got his :poo: together. So much fun!

Who wants a picture of us falling over?

Also I blame you. That was entirely your fault. If you had been there then we would have had no need to drunk dial you. Obviously. Geesh. I could have drunk dialed the General, instead.

Ummm
I just saw a video on Youtube by FoxCast Media about Foxtoberfest.
It showed a whole bunch of Fox Body Mustangs at night with their "underglow" or whatever you call those led lights that are put under the body, all lit up like something I am not sure of.
Might have to sell my car now cause I don't swing that way and don't want to be associated with "that crowd" Lol.
Wow, that was weird.

I don't think lights are any of the Stangnet crowd's cup of tea. So, we start that night by meeting up for the first time at one of the brewery tables, and getting in a few beers before getting around to looking at the cars, there. Plenty of cars without lights, too, and anyways, it's the only "night lights" event.

Father Time and a few of his patriotic friends after the main show:

Cool Cobra Jet hood scoop I liked:

I'm not usually a T-Top, notch, or Yellow paint guy, but this fox was undeniably cool. IMO, this was best of show, this year. Sorry I didn't get a few profile shots, but maybe I can find some more later.

The theme for Foxtoberfest '26 was T-tops, and I respect Chris Savard's (aka The Infamous Project) build, which won best of show, but for my tastes, that car was too slammed & I never thought those wheels looked good on a Ferrari, let alone a foxbody. Cool to see a Godzilla in a fox, but I'm just a plain SBF kinda guy. I also can't help but notice the 'best of show' award keeps landing in the same circle of 'Asylum' influencers. I guess their influence is getting the attention from the crowd. The craftsmanship was top notch, though.

I liked these wheels and centercaps so much they might just make it onto Black Jack. I think they might be an SVE wheels with a custom or separate center cap:

Pretty sweet to see the 2nd Cobra R I've ever seen, and the first one outside of a museum:

Black Jack! Hey, it's my post... and no, I didn't wash it before the show, but dammit it made it after the transmission was on the floor the day before I left for Charlotte!

I really like Joe Monte's car. Definitely has its own style. I've run into him a couple times, now. He and Jason Asper's "Outfoxed" Maroon Red Hatch are the other two that were pictured in the 'patriotic foxes' pic near the top of my last post. But here's more of Joe's:

Lovely paint job on this 4-eye with "WETPAINT" for a license plate, and obviously a 351 under the hood:

I got a few more shots, but those are the ones I liked the most.
