I'm assuming you're asking whether or not it's worth it.

Friend of mine has it and it really depends on what you're looking for. That is, are you more worried about the warranty, performance, sound, etc. The ford racing package is the safest route.

You'd be better off installing other products IMO. The dealer has to prove that what you did caused the problem to deny a warranty claim. With that said, I think you're going to have to have some bad voodoo to have a problem with a properly tuned tuner from VMP, Bama, Brenspeed, etc to have a problem. I'd go with a C&L intake with a 88mm maf tube, it puts down the best numbers I've seen on a mildy modified car. If you don't like the C&L, get the JLT.

I pondered it but after reading a bit, went with:

1. C&L Street w/ Brenspeed tunes combo ($661)
2. Bassani 46075 axle-bak ($541)

Install on these items is so easy even a Corvette owner could do it.

I figr'd the advantages were that with the Brenspeed C&L/tune combo you get the SCT x-cal3 w/ 3 custom, more aggressive tunes on it than the FRPP package. Bassanis have a real nice, deep, classy tone to 'em w/ not too much drone and no raspy-ness

A little pricier and no guaranteed factory warranty but what the heck. Put these on a new 2008 before it even had 1000 miles on it.

I'd rather have 20 horse power less and buy regular gas at today's prices.

15 gallons @ $0.25 difference between 87 & 93 = $3.75
$3.75 x 1 tank a week = $195 a year, even less 'cuz it don't go in winter.

I'll gladly pay.

You can get it with three different tunes on one device. That means you can have the premium gas tune and the regular gas tune. Once you use the premium gas tune though, thats all you'll use.

I've done the numbers, as well as many others, and the general consensus is that you can actually get more for your money if you run 93 octane with a tune.

From bone stock, I added a JLT intake with a SCT X3 tuner, a bassani catted x pipe and JBA axle back and gained 8 tenths and 6.5 mph in the quarter on 18in street tires. I could be wrong but I wouldn't expect that out of the FRPP Package. And the above mods listed cost me 1300 so 400 more bucks and you can get a mid pipe plus better products with more power and as far as warranty issues with after market intake and tuner just spend 20 mins and take it of before you go into the shop if you ever have to.
