it's good that you figured it out. I remember when my 95 GTS was acting up, i pulled a 94 GT in the garage beside my car and started swaping parts until we found out that it was the distributer...
not really sure on the coil,I would guess it wasnt getting good spark maybe.When we took the plug wire off the coil the last owner had some kind of corrison type grease stuff on there(I guess) which probalby effected the spark to the coil.
