Alright, so here I am doing the Granada swap and after trying to bleed ever little last bit of air I have found my MC is bad. I have used a hand vacuum pump and tonight my mechanic friend came over with a pressurized ball bleeder and found my rebuilt MC is bad.

Now I want to hear what I can use. Currently I have a 1974 Maverick disc/drum. Someone mentioned a 1971 Ford truck MC the other day. What is going to provide the best stopping power? What has everyone else used?

Also, I am going to eventually run some disc brakes in the rear, probably in the next year. Is there a disc/disc MC that would work with a disc/drum setup for the time being?

Thanks for any help.

Mike

I used one from Kragen (partsamerica) for a 1976 Maverick w/Manual Brakes. I can't say anything about it compared to other master cylinders w/disc brakes, but its huge difference from i6 drums!

Alright thanks for the replies. So far the consensus calls for a Granada or Maverick MC. What do you think, since I am planning of getting rear disc brakes in the future, could I purchase a disc/disc MC and use it with my current setup of front disc and rear drum for the interim. What kind of MC would you use.

Thanks
