Guys, as you know I just finished my T-5 Swap. However I can not get my car to start. The only way I have been doing is is pulling the wire off the selinoid and using a screwdriver. WHERE THE HELL IS THIS PLUG UNDER THE DASH? I have looked everywhere and I'm getting really pissd off. I can not find the damn thing. Can anyone tel me what it looks like? How I plug it in? Is it one plug or two? Please let me know about this damn thing. Also there is another sensor on my 5-speed pedal assembly near the gas pedal. Wjat does this do? PLEASE GUYS HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

P.S. Anyone with a Pro 5.0 shifter, is it really hard to shift it into gears or do I just need to break my tranny and shifter in?

If the car was a automatic there should not be a neutral safety switch

will the car turn over with the clutch not pushed in

the clutch switch is the lower connector on the clutch pedal arm. if you bridge the terminals, and it starts, you found the right connector (other one is for CC, IIRC).
i dont know what wiring you have on that thing - you might need to also bridge the old neutral switch, as it is not used anymore.

good luck.

There is a switch that hooks up to the clutch pedal as mentioned before. The AOD uses a 4 pin connector that hooks to a sensor that is actually screwed into the tranny itself, on the manual it uses a 2 pin sensor. They both are used for reverse lights, but on the AOD the other 2 pins won't allow you to start the car unless it is in park. SO if you used that same screw in sensor, your car is never seeing park. I am not positive but the wires for the clutch setup may not be in that car because some of the body harness's are different. I am going to be doing the same swap here shortly. My AOD has the 2 pin sensor in it. Car was a manual. I accident started the car up in low gear while I was installing a radio and ran into my garage. SO I learned the hard way.

As Zeno noted, you will also need to jumper the addtional 2 wires under the car that are bundled with the reverse light wires. If you never found the jumpered clutch safety switch under the dash, it would not contribute to the car not starting. The T5 harness, incidentally, jumpers the AOD switch wires.

Can I hardwire that sensor underneath the car to the switch that is plugged into the tranny. For instance can I cut off the plug soder it to the two posts on the tranny and connect the other two wores together to complete the circuit? Let me know if this is possible because I can not find the right 2 prong wiring harness at any junkyard.

Just cut the four wire plug off, jumper the two neutral safety switch wires together, and then use two bullet connectors to plug the reverse lights into the T-5.

The clutch switch has nothing to do with this problem since you have an original AOD car.
