The front four intake runners are full of carbon and soot while the rear 4 are fairly good looking. Is this an o2 issue? I've had a rich condition that I've been unable to completely cure. Not throwing any codes for the o2 sensors, but I'm stumped as to why exactly half of them are clean. If they matched up with either of the heads that would give me at least a starting point, but they do not.

No takers? Here's a couple of pics to show the difference. Almost like the front cylinders weren't even firing....

Are those closest to the pcv port?
Whats the lower look like?
Slipped intake gasket sucking oil from the valley?
Gerbils shooting oil bubbles into the tb?

Slipped lower would be the most plausible. Guess the damn thing is coming up again..

Can't think of anything else that would contaminate in that area.
But what do I know, I used to have an F cam with a loopy idle.

I'll get pics of the lower tomorrow, but you're right. It would explain why I'm super rich and can't pinpoint a vacuum leak.

I had similar problem, I looked down the hole and could see the oil seeping in the gasket area at the bottom, intake bolts where stretched, hello arp, send me some bolts quick!

How is your PCV routed? If the vac like connected to the front and rear of the plenum? Some intakes have it connect to both, and some only to one. This could be part of it as well
