I am trying to put the new bumpers on my car and I have a different opinion vs. what the parts are trying to tell me.
When I bought the car, the front bumper and grill area were not straight at all. I have replaced all those parts and I thought the front bumper would be as easy as the rear was.... guess not!
How far does the bumper overlap the body painted panel between the grill and bumper? I thought it should overlap some, maybe 1/2" to 3/4", but if its 1/4", I would be suprised.
Like I said, I was hoping for better, but that may be what I am up against. I guess I can always slot the mounting bracket holes on the frame rail and move it back, but I am just asking what it is supposed to be.
Thanks for the help. I dont have pics as I didnt bolt it up, and I didnt want to get too far if there was any problems.
BTW, they are brand new ford tooling fenders, aftermarket filler panel (between grill and bumper" and aftermarket lower valance. All the holes aligned up just fine prior to paint and required no messageing to get them all to fit together.
