When installing front Eibach Pro Kit Coils springs,--- Is their a certain position the pig tail should face or doe it only go in one way on the control arm spring perch?
Thanks
Thanks
Ditto flat side goes up and the pig tail goes down against the LCA. There should be a small hole drilled in the cup of the LCA. The pig tail must be oriented between the drilled hole and the bottom of Spring stop in the LCA its like an 1" of length to orient the spring. Also keep in mind that moving the spring pig tail anywhere in that 1 inch area changes the ride height of your front end. My car was 1/2' lower in the front from side to side so I put on of the springs against the spring stop in the LCA and the other one I put very close to the drilled hole I referred to earlier, thus getting I closer in ride height. Hope this makes sense.
Later
if I remember correctly the lower controll arm has a notch or form in it where the pigtail goes, my 98 did anyways.OK now we're getting into what I'm getting at. This is what exactly the problem I'm experiencing. ---- The drivers side is about 1/2" lower than the passenger side.
I am using polyurethane isolators on the pigtails. Just a little confused on how I should orient he pigtail on the LCA perch. I see 2 holes in the perch. Should the end of the pigtail sit in between the holes?? Should I discasrd the urethane isolator on the pigtail??
Thanks
IIRC, the end of the spring should be between the two holes (those are the index holes).
I would not ditch the isolators personally. I don't like groaning cars though.
Good luck.
