Front end noise?

So my GT has been making a popping type sound from the front end ever since I got the car, but it seems to be doing it more as of recent. It seems to make the noise most when I cut the wheels backing out of a parking spot, or pretty much any other type of low speed turn. I noticed it today when I was pulling a u turn, while I was making the turn I heard the sound just before I straightened the wheel out. I know its hard to diagnose problems over the web, but you guys have done a good job so far!

Thanks in advance.

Put the car up on jackstands so the weight is off the front wheels. Try to move the wheels in/out, left/right, up/down.

Could be tie rod ends, ball joints, steering rack bushings, wheel bearings.

My guess is steering rack bushings are shot.

While you have it up and are inspecting, spray silicone spray all over the bushings that you can see like the ones on the swaybar, etc.

I'd say the steering rack bushings are needing replaced too or that they need to have some lube put on them. My Son's '04 GT did that when new, I took the steel sleeves in rack bushings and put some good grease on them and reinstalled. No noise since and it's been over 2 years now.
