front end question

I noticed that my drivers side wheel looked like it sat out further than the passenger side. I measured and it is out about 5/8" further. What could cause this? Could worn bushings, ball joints, or something else cause this? It just erks me cause I know it's not right even though the car drives fine and tracks perfectly straight. Pretty much when looking at the car from the front the drivers tire is flush with the fender and the passenger side sits in 1/2 to 5/8". Is there any adjustment in the K-member. I just remembered back in the mid 90's a guy traded me out a set of equal lenth headers and when I installed them they hit the strut tower on the passenger side. I took them off and reinstalled my unequal lenth. Car may have been like this for a long time but just noticed it when I went from 7.5" to 8" wheels.

Sounds like only a personal issue at this time? You would have to put it on a frame machine to fix it if an accident issue - got any buddies with a frame shop?

Are you sure the backspacing on both wheels is the same? Could be simply a wheel manufacturing error?

Personally I would leave it alone if nothing is loose and the wheels are right.
