i am having bad front end vibration when braking at high speeds from about 70 and up. arounnd 40 to 50 it doesnt vibrate at all. what do u think is the cause of this problem. i was thinking maybe warped rotors what about the ball joints. any ideas and help are greatly appreciated.

My car vibrates when braking hard from high speeds and a very slight vibration when braking hard on the highway. I assume your talking about your 92? I think its pretty normal for these cars. Does it vibrate anytime you touch the pedal on highway speeds or only when braking considerably hard?

sometimes just when i touch it it will vibrate like no other its usually just when i have to slow down and i hiot the brakes normally it will shake really bad. i might just pull the rotors and have them checked. one of the rotors is only a year old.

Same problem here, gave her new rotors, problem went away.

I didn't change them out right away, the vibration slowly started getting worse from highway speeds down to city speeds.

Warped rotors.

Most likely it is the rotors.

here is the problem, due to the design of them, installing new ones is a bandaid fix. you will just shortly warp the new ones. Only way around it is to go 5 lug and install the sn95 brakes.

well i dont want to get new rotors if they are just going to warp again. io do plan on doing a 5 lug conversion so maybe i will just wait til then. i will just go ahead and replace the balljoints and maybe the sway bar bushings and see what that does. they need to be replaced anyways. what are some good ball joints to get

There is another way, I have install cross drilled rotors on mine and the problem is gone. The drill holes help disapate the heat, helping them not warp. I've had them on for a while and they work great, they are factory replacement aswell so they went on easy. Cheap solution too
