Does anybody know if there is a hub assembly that fits to front spindle on 67 coupe? I want to do front disk conversion, would like to use separate hubs and rotors instead of early granada rotor/hub assemblies, if possible...

sure, the stock rotors for the 67 mustang fits just fine. autokrafters and NPD both carry them.

But I want just hub without rotor, and then bolt-in rotor coming with the hub, same as done for rear disk brakes swaps. I have just found separate hubs and rotors in 94 gt, but don't know if spindle diameters are same. The reason - just don't want to replace hub every time when rotors are needed to replace.

the 65-67 brake rotors are a two piece set, hub and rotor separate. you however have to get the pair together. you can only get drum brake hubs separately.

You can use a drum brake hub and mount a late model disc to it. This is how some of the late model disc brake conversions are done along with a custom bracket to locate the caliper properly.

as Rusty said....check out www.mustangsteve.com.

his system uses SN95 Cobra calipers/rotors. it requires the use of drum spindles/hubs, which allows you to use the Cobra rotors which are replaceable.

I went this way over some of the others because I wanted the big 13" Cobra brakes. It does, however, require the use of 17" or bigger wheels.

Since he is using 67 spindles they are the same for drum/disc. He will only need the pair of new hubs.

I believe the majority of folks are using the 1970 spindle since they are beefier. Although not installed yet, this is what I went with.

Travis,
I haven't sourced my spindle/hub yet.
Does the same hold true for 70 spindles as Rusty said for 67's (you can use either drum or disk spindles)?
I currently have stock 70 disks (and spindles) in the front but was thinking I couldn't use them, that I would have to go with drum spindles.
Do you know if the 70 disk spindles will work with the drum hubs?

Thanks everybody for advice, I did not know 67s have separate hubs... if they have that's different story and going with 13". About the kit for 94-95 cobra swap, looks great but I would not mind steel brackets and priced way lower than $350 for two brackets (??)

You can use 67 drum/disc spindles on the conversion mentioned earlier. Also you can use 68-73 drum spindles. The aftermarket brake companies use this style because it makes for an easier braket in which they fabricate. But to aswer you question JoesGT281, I'm not sure. I believe you can, but I would definately post over at mustangsteve's forum to get specifics. Sorry

65-67 spindles are the same for drum and disc. There is NO difference in the spindle. From 68 and up they are different.
