Hello everyone, I'm not new to forums, had old screenname than lost password, and really need a question answered so i signed up again ne way heres the problem, A few months ago i got in a minor accident and hit a curb and bent the control arm,got a front right lower control arm from the junkyard(i know a big mistake) and when the shop installed it they said the bushings were bad and i would need a whole new control arm. it squeaks when i hit a bump or even turn the wheel.. now my questions are: could just the bushings be replaced and solve the squeeking and tapping?also, cause just the bushings are bad would that cause the tire closest to the control arm to wear unevenly??
thanks, bryan i have a 2000 GT btw.

All you have to do is confirm if you have standard or Hydro bushings, price difference is $40-$50, MM also has a bushing removal tool that'll make it easy to get them out

It could, any small infraction with the front suspension can cause bad tire wear, did you get an alignment after the accident?

check your rack & pinion bushings they tend to squeak while turning, also you tie rod ends

yes tommustang, i got an alignment after the new control arm was put on, if it was wearing the front right tire irregularly, wouldnt they pick it up on the alignment machine??
