I've always refered to it as the air dam. I had to get one from Ford a while back and told them "that little plastic thingie under the front bumper" He said "Oh yeah the air dam" and thats what showed up, so thats what I'm going with The car will run hot without this piece attached too.

I need a new one too. I changed my oil without putting the car on ramps and I ripped that thing off. Tell me where you find it and for how much.

I have heard it called air dam, air shiled, radiator deflector shield. You can get one at any ford dealership for like 15$. You can also buy one online at www.50resto.com for 11 + 4-5 s/h fee.

thanks law i just ordered it from 50resto.com... cost me 17.50 all together. The local ford parts garage is always twice as high as they should be... I paid 17 dollars for the seal for the pipe going into the gas tank there (usually like 3 dollars from what i here).

For anybody else this is what the discription was: 1994-03 Radiator Air Deflector

How hard is that thing to install? What is holding the current one in, rivets?

ok, i just went through this whole process. the air deflector is held in by these little plastic push-in screws. its real easy to put them in (although you might need a pair of pliers if the old ones are busted off and stuck in the holes) anyways, i ordered mine from 5.0 Resto as well, and it shows up without the push pins. luckily i went to my local ford dealer and the parts guy gave me a handfull for free. just tell them what it's for and if you really want, bring the air deflector with you to make sure the pins are about the right size. hope this helps.
