I am doing a complete resto on my car. 66 convertible. I am starting on the driver side front rail.
Question=I heard that I can put the 2 inner/outer rails together first before I put them on car. Has anyone done this?
Can I wire-weld pieces, or does it have to be spot plugged?
I installed the drivers side front rail, I noticed that the front (from the shock tower to the radiator support looks nice and level, but going towards the back (about where the steering box bolts on) looks a little unlevel. (Vertical)
If I held a level up/down it is off about 1/8 of a bubble. It does not appear that it would change the frame at all...can I leave this and continue on or should I cut back off and try to start again?
All suggestions are welcomed!!!
