Has any one bought the front spoiler from mustangs-unlimited and have any fitment problems? the spoiler is'nt wide enough to be mounted onto the lower part of the front fenders. it's fiberglass so there is'nt much room for bending. any suggestions would be great.

If it is the stock Cobra II style chin spoiler, you must have the stock valance in place for it to mount to.

my opinion...its ugly and doesnt look right on a stock exterior II..
it definately doesnt look factory.
its attaches with sm. sheet metal screws.
save your cash and wait for a factory one off ebay, or ask in the parts section here..

MU sells 2 different spoilers for the II a factory replacement that bolts on to the valance like OEM. And they also sell the Racing spoiler which is much bigger and you must figure out how to mount it yourself.

I tried the racing spoiler and couldn't get it mounted to were it looked good so I sold it to a club member. Then I picked up one of their OEM style replacements and replaced the torn factory spoiler on my valance. To mount it I 1st removed the valance from the car and loosely bolted on the spoiler then remounted everything as a unit.

I have that spoiler on my car. As mentioned it needs a gravel pan to attach to. The width of the front fenders is very adjustable. loosen the little braces that support the fenders and pull them in a little. I constructed some steel supports for it and it has held up very well.

This is it shown here, I had no problems, it bolted to the factory (non spoiler) valance by drilling holes, bolts and washers. Only downfall is it IS fiberglass and any curb rub will result in a break not a scrape. I just havnt seen the issues everyone is talking about. I recomend it as a good alt to $$$$$ and trying to find one.
