no, southern Florida and Houston don't have snow plows. We had to wait 3 days till the snow melted cause the city couldn't get anything. But it was 76 degrees 2 days after it snowed so.
well...south florida doesn't have snow, so snow plows would be a bit of a waste. Eventhough sometimes I'd like to have one just so I can ram some of these idiots driving down here.
I drove through Houston on my way to California during the summer (yup, took the stang from South Florida to Cali and back) and Houston really was one of the worst cities to go through (just talking about traffic and the way people drive)
But most parts in Texas they drove 55 on a 65 ALL the time, whats up with that
I do like 70-85 down the freeway, took me an hour and 15 minutes to do a little over 2 hour drive to college station. But the traffic sucks so much, took me 30 minutes to get home from a place it took me 5 minutes to drive to.

That was the problem in Houston, the traffic. San Antonio was insane also.
I think it was in El Paso that everybody was driving quite a bit under the speed limit. Other than New Mexico, Texas was the worst state to drive through. Not only because of the traffic and that we got a ticket, but it took so freakin long to get out once you go in lol. We were doing like 3 states a day, and then Texas takes a whole day and part of the next. Boring.
You could do 85mph across Texas and it would still take 10 hours of driving. Stay the 70mph speed limit and it's like 11-12 hours non-stop. Took about 8 hours to get to Houston from el paso going along I-10, which I am guessing you did too, but I was going from 12am to 4 am, then 10am to 2pm. Then 2 hours of just Houston to get home =(.
wow big states suck clearwater to key west in 5:56 cruise at about 92....ish <before 3.73 o course cost me 70 bucks round trip with the GT for gas. time of travel 12:30 am to just before sunrise....it was sooo beautiful. best part of that trip we were on our way home by 10 am that same day talk about spontaneus chit
Driving in snow is not all that hard .. it really depends on your tires. Proper winter tires, as opposed to all season tires make all the difference. I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It's pretty far north and snows a heck of a lot. My 99 stang gets by just fine, mind you i do have blizzaks on the car, and man what a difference. My normal tires are all seasons (supposedly) i drove in the snow for the frist few days this winter with them, and there is no way in hell you could ever survive all winter with them.
mm .. and AWD is awesome for performance and winter driving. A friend of mine is a Talon nut, and has three of them. One for the summer, runs 11s, one for parts, and a AWD non turbo talon for the winter. He can basically drive through anything in the winter, the thing never gets stuck.
