Ok, makin this as simple as possible. I installed FRPP C springs years ago, yea they're a little stiff but I'm living with them for now. I have always ASSUMED cutting progressive springs is a no no. However, I was researching my options to get another 1/4"-1/2" drop @ all 4 wheels and there are people saying FRPP springs have dead coils and are meant to be cut if desired? Is this true? Is there a coil or two on FRPP springs that are not progressive? I'm considering taking the isos out, but I have never done this and I do not know how much it will drop the car if any, AND I do not want my car to ride like crap. I'm hearing mixed messeges regarding this topic. I know cutting springs is kind of "old school" and not recommended, but I would like your thoughts and opinions/ horror stories if there are some. I can live with the ride height, just exercising the idea

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

IIRC correctly the first coil can be cut. cant imagine they would ride any better for it though.

One of the coils on the REAR springs can be cut...not the front springs. There is a dead coil which does not contribute to the overal spring rate significantly. Not all springs are like this, but the C's and B's REAR springs can be cut.

Dont cut one or two coils though, usually 1/4 to 1/2 makes it even with the fronts. The fronts are low as is..i can't imagine going any lower. I hate my C springs because of how low they are in the front

thanks for the info. Shaolin, what springs are you running? I can live with the way it sits now, just wondering if it would look better sitting a TAD lower?

nice, coilovers would be ideal, they're pretty pricey tho, maybe in the future.

yeah tell me about it, shocks and struts were 1200 alone, then the conversion kits were pricey too came out to like 2k just for that stuff
