All,
I just found a screaming good deal on an old-style FRPP CAI w/pro cal on Craigslist. The seller wants 400, and I offered 200- and he's willing to work with that. That said, I have a couple of questions about the kit. Like I said, its a "first-gen" CAI, so it has the simple conical filter and metal heat shield/airbox. I noticed in the instructions that Ford sends with the newer kit (it was all I could find online) indicate that the voucher supplied with the kit somehow "activates" the calibrator via the vehicle VIN and the voucher number. If the seller has already activated the calibrator via his car's VIN, does this mean that it won't work on mine?
I hope I was clear in asking my question-
thanks in advance!

Thanks for the info, tommyroc! I was planning to do that after I spoke to the seller today- I'm worried that because of the age of the tuner (about 2 years) that Ford won't be able to program it. We'll see!
