How was this a hijack... its a thread about shorty headers....

and i watched someone at a dyno day put out better numbers with the addition of shorties on centri blown car with forged bottom end( hence why i said a bottom end that can take higher rpms in my original post).. its not rocket science dude.

i dont understand why some of u guys on this forum are such jackasses... if u read what i put: shorties+ centri = better gains not that hard to understand lol. lts give u low end shorties top end. a centri doesnt even put out everything untill ~4k

Jackass?

You sound like a cool guy. Again, let me ask, where are your dyno graphs?

LT's make more power on a 2v with a blower and stock bottom end

i'm glad i don't pay for cable, cuz i don't need comedy central with this site.

Maybe HOSS302 is talking about 5.0's? I dunno, trying to save some of his credibility

I know this is late but I found this at Anderson Ford Motorsport did an exhaust shoot out for Muscle Mustangs and fast Fords in 2005 with Cat-Back in Sept, Mid-Pipes in Oct, and shorty Headers in Nov. For the Header test they left the Bassani Cat-Back and Bassani X-pipe w/cats. (The MAC pro chamber actually had a slight higher gain but they were all within 2 hp of each other.

Stock 2005 GT 289.8 hp and 313.8 tq
Base vehicle for test Bassani Cat-Back and Bassani X-Pipe w/cats
298.9 hp and 323.7 tq gain of 9.1 hp and 9.9 tq over base
FRPP 302.0 hp and 325.0 tq gain of 3.1 hp and 1.3 tq over base
MAC 301.1 hp and 325.0 tq gain of 2.2 hp and 1.3 tq over base
Bassani 301.8 hp and 324.8 tq gain of 2.9 hp and 1.1 tq over base
JBA 303.8 hp and 325.3 tq gain of 4.1 hp and 1.5 tq over base

BS show me the dyno numbers. Your claims are not credible because you have no proof and theoretically that makes no sense. For that to be credible you would have had to have seen what it dyno'd with longtubes. And yes it is hard to understand because I and many other members on this forum have seen concrete evidence based on actual dyno sheets that shorties are near worthless on modular motors, i don't care if its blown or not longtubes will always produce better numbers than shorties on the 4.6l motor...

oh and pleeease prove me wrong with some actual facts because if so than you are smarter than 99% of us in this forum...
