Does any body know anything about these? I've come to the conclusion that for a low-budget daily driver (yay for being 18!), all motor is the most cost effective and nearly hastle-free (i realize that nothing is hastle free though).

So here is my question. Does anyone have any experience? They seem to be almost as complete as the trick flow top end kits, minus the pushrods. I'm not a huge fan of the trick flow upper/lower plenums, but if i have to go there i will. I already have a B cam in the car, so if got either kit (im looking seriously into either), i would sell the cam. Would the B cam work well with the trick flow kit? the numbers seem to be the same...a little less separation and a little less lift for the B cam then the trick flow. the FRPP kit comes with an E cam, and my car is a 5 speed, and i love the B cam, so that is staying. which would you guys reccomend? i like the 1.6 RR ratio, and its nice that the trick flow kit is pretty much complete. i've done a pretty decent amount of research on here and on summit for the TF TW kit, but i dont know much about the FRPP kit. by the way, it can be found at late model resto:

Thanks again guys. Hope i gave you enough information. by the way, the motor is a stock block bored to 306, B cam, longtubes, full exhaust, KC clutch, T5, 3.73's, MSD 6A ignition, Aeromotive AFPR, UD pullies, etc. Oh, and would a throttle body (accufab of course!) give me that much of a gain? i have a Pro-M mass air meter that was "donated" by a friend to my cause that i can have reprogrammed for 19's (used on a blower car).

Looks like nice kit. If you prefer the forf tuff then go for it! IMO, the tfs is the best, most complete kit there is. But if you dont like the look of it, Im sure the FRPP kit will do ya nicely. For me, Im doing the TFS Track Heat kit with a custom cam and a 6 psi Powerdyne for my low buck honda killer.

Get a trickflow stage one cam. Tri state cylinder head has a great deal on gt40p's and gaskets are cheap. Reuse your lifters and pushrods if they are still good. A good intake manifold(Edelbrock, trickflow or BBK SSI 5.0)Then start pooring money into getting that power to the ground. Like Drag radials and lower control arms. Best money I spent was on the tires and control arms. They got me into the high 12's with stock heads and a trickflow stage one cam with a ported cobra intake.

i cant decide if i was to get the TF kit whether or not i should keep the B cam (great sound), or go with the trick flow cam. alrighty got the control arms, just need some sticky mickeys or nittos ;) as much as i like FRPP stuff, i can't turn down the completeness of the TF kit.

If you like the B cam stay with it. www.buyfordracing.com has some ford x303 heads for under 1000.00. I've heard of a couple of places including livernoismotorsports that has the y303 heads for around 900.00. Both better then stock and save weight. bolts and gaskets like I said are cheap and many of the dealers know exactly which ones you need. Tuffest part for me was deciding with intake set to get. Look down the road before you make that choice, heads can always be ported or upgraded later when money allows.
Besides why spend over 2 grand when you could save and get those mickeys or gears with the extra money.

I can't really decide on what to do. I dont need some of the stuff in the TW kit (timing set, etc.), and if i get thumpers i can get some other not quite necessary but helpful things like an accufab TB, an intake, valve covers, nice 1.6 RR's, and a 190 gph fuel pump.

if you get the trickflow kit , be sure to check out the timing set they send , I have seen some people have problems , if you are in doubt of it , just go to a local parts store and get a stock replacement timing set and use the stock thrust plate and bolts
