OK, all the stuff is being swapped out on my car right now. Heads, cam, intake, radiator, water pump, hoses, belt, and all the other little things. I had also planned on replacing the cap and rotor and the coil is a year old MSD unit, so it's OK. What about the distributor though?
It's the original one and when I turn it, I can tell the bushings aren't as smooth as they used to be...but it's not bad. Would I hurt my performance any if I just cleaned the old one up and tossed it back in there? Or should I upgrade to something like this: http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=1417&prmenbr=361
I have already spent so much money on this project, another $200 isn't going to bankrupt me. Opinions?
