Has anyone wired up a fuel cut off switch to the cigarette lighter? If you stick the lighter in it would complete the circuit? I think it would be so hidden and great. I read somewhere on stangnet about a post about it but I think it was lost in the crash. Has anyone done this?

Actually, its not that difficult. If the lighter never gets hot, it will almost never pop out. Wouldn't hurt to have a fail safe though. Or, if the lighter failed, you could always just pull the assembly out and kinda hot wire it until you get if fixed..(ASAP of course.....)

I can think of a few ways of doing this. All you would need to do is interupt the fuel pump 12V line with a relay, and use the cigarette lighter as your switch side.......

Or, you could go one step further. Use your cigarette lighter as a fuel cut off, and get a second fog lamp swith, and wire it in as a starter kill system. Also need a relay for this. You would just stick your key in the ignition, and push the lighter in, then hold down the fog light switch until the car started, then turn off the fog switch.

Or you can just use your imagination. I have millions of ideas, I am just too lazy to do it for myself. Someday. Just about finished my wire hiding, that is enough for this month..... Good luck, keep us posted on your decision.....
