Fuel Economy Questions

A few weeks ago someone was wondering about the II's fuel economy. I contacted the EPA and this is what they sent me:

U.S. fuel economy regulations did not require manufacturers to test models prior to 1978 so we don’t have any data on the 1974-1977 model year vehicles.

LOL...the '78 2.8L Auto got the worst mileage of all the engines/trannies for the II!

I hit that right on the mark. i found a website that said 19.7 mpg for my car...and thats what i used.
