Can anyone provide a location for the fuel gauge wire in the body? This is where it exits the inside of the car drops down to connect to the sending unit. Im assuming the body shop forgot to put it in.

It's centered right in front of the fuel tank. I'll take a measurement when I get home.

Um, you sure about that? IIRC, it's on the RH side, in the trunk floor near the right-front corner of the tank.

Yes, centered in front of the tank 1 5/8" from the edge of the lip of the opening for the tank.

Hey, thanks folks. NasaGT - Excellent picture !!!!! And 69G, is the 1.63 from the edge. Is this still on the horizontal or on the diagonal part?

It's up after it transitions to the diagonal. It looks like the picture is showing a crossmember under the car. The lip that should be supporting the tank appears to be rusted off in the pic

69gmachine is correct, most of the lip to support the tank is gone in that pic. Just 1 of many rusted parts to fix on this car
