Ok I have the H.O computer in my car. But I just dropped in a non H.O engine, so the fireing order is different. This in tunr must mean the injector firing order must be different.
txstang84 qoute "no, you don't have to get a new computer, you can still use the H.O. puter you have, but you'll either have to re-pin four of the wires on the puter harness connector, or-if they are still available, you can buy pigtail adapters which connect in series with your injector harness and changes the injector "firing" order that way...re-pinning the connector though will keep you from having to use the pigtails though.
I went to www.fordfuelinjection.com to get the wiring diagrams, and repinning schematic, should you choose to do it that way. you only have to swap four wires around, the worst part is pulling the wires from the connector without breaking the little clasps that hold the pins into the connector itself"
My question is, I have the fuel injection harness that came off the non h.o car with the motor I just dropped in. Can I just take this harness (from salt and pepper shaker forward) and swap it out? Take the h.o one I have on now off and put the hopefully non h.o one on and that fix it or do I still have to **** around with the pins like he said?
PS I put the non h.o harness on once before for reasons unrelated, and the car would barely run or just die out, swapped back the h.o that came with the car and it worked fine...So Im thinking Im right but dont wanna waste my time if its not that..
