My buddy just bought a car with H/C/I and it has 42# injectors on it because the previous owner had it blown. Anyway, we are going to swap them along with the MAF tomorrow. I was just wondering if we could reuse the upper intake gasket if it doesn't tear when we take it off and appears to be in good shape.

As long as the plenum gasket is in good shape, you should be ok. Not sure on the tq sequence on the GT-40, but I am sure someone knows here. Search function might be able to tell you.

I have reused my upper/lower intake gasket if it wasn't ripped and one time when it ripped but it overlapped and was fine. If a piece actually comes off you need to "scrap" that idea (literally).

I'm not for sure their is torque spec orders for upper intakes. Just torque them evenly and very lightly. It only takes 10-12 ft. lbs of torque. This way you avoid cracking any ears...just get them snug and tighten them all down evenly like in a criss-cross so you don't warp or overtorque one side.
