Last year I just kept the stock 4 banger fuel line for my V8 carb swap. That's fine and good but the fuel line is a little close to the exhaust and I want to cool down the gas not warm it up. So I need to re-route the fuel line. I got a returnless fuel system (Holley red inline pump).

Would it be okay to use braided from start to finish?

Or go with an aluminum fuel line and some braided for the pump and carb inlet...

I would use aluminum tubing with a braided hose at the end. Keep in mind that places that make hydraulic hoses can do the job cheaper than Summit & can custom fab almost anything.
