Excuse me for the ignorance but I have a question.

I have a 302 w/ GT40P's, B303, rockers, Mass air and 24lb's.

1.) What should my fuel pressure be at?

and

2.) Is my fuel pressure supposed to drop(guage) after I shut the car off or is it supposed to stay where it's at on the guage?

Thanks in advance for any responses/advice.

I wouldn't call it ignorance. Just a simple question.

Set your fuel pressure to 38 PSIG with the vacuum line disconected from the FPR.

As far as the drop goes, it is normal. I have seen some that stay and some that drop. It is usually due to the fuel pump check valve not working properly, but should not cause the car to run bad or anything.

As long as you have steady fuel pressure when running is all that matters.

Thank you so much for your help. I'll set it to 38 and see what happens.

But why do I have to disconnect the vacuum?
