fuel pressure gauge

nothing will happen ...... well maybe a little gas will spill out but thats about it! make sure the engine is not hot when you do this! or you risk a fire! it's an easy install just undo it put new teflon tape around the threaded part and put new one on!!! turn on ignition dont start it ! look for leaks! if none are found your good to go! simple! :canada:

most little gauges have a 1/4 NPT thread on them and the valve on the rail is 1/8NPT you need an adapter if you didnt get one, my little gauge is a pro products and they also carry the adapter.

Just let the car sit overnight and then do it first thing the next day. That way the pressure has a chance to bleed down and the engine is cool.

DOn't use teflon tape to seat the threads. Use that thread paste and allow it to set up before pressurizing.

gas eats teflon, so i used it once anda bit of teflon floated up into my FP gauge and blocked the port and gave false readings. I only by chance discovered it when i looked inside and barely got the peice out. I got very lucky it didn't go into my injectors

hmmm...i should probably get the teflon tape off of my gauge then.

You should also be able to take a rag and pen cap and bleed the fuel out of the rail so it's not under pressure when you try to install the gauge. It'll re-pressurize next time you turn the car to crank.
