I checked my fuel pressure today due to the lack of power and increased water temp....anyways intiall pressure at idle is 30psi if I rev it up it goes to 40....is this right or am I doing it wrong. Any imfo or ideas??
Thanks
Jason

you have to ck the amount of fuel coming out also,a car low on gas can have good fuel pressure. engine running hot doz not sound like fuel, also ck back pressure, cloged cat maybe, timming, ect.

I do but it is not installed. I am just testing the orginal one. I know it is burning real rich at start up and sometimes at idle and everyonce and awhile when I get on it.

How do you know its rich? Wideband?

A aftermarket fuel pressure regulator is a waste ,if the car is running properly its not needed.

I ran a stock regulator with a 255lph high pressure pumps and no "richness" and on my new combo im still running a stock regulator.

Any setting or testing of the fuel pressure needs to be done with the fuel pressure vacuum line disconnected and the vacuum line plugged.
