Hello All,

I just bought a new fuel pressure gauge. I installed it right on the FPR at the gauge port w/ a 90* fitting.

The strange thing is it reads 30 lbs. when the vac line is removed from the FPR or plugged into the FPR. No change in pressure reading.

When I adjust the set screw two to three full turns clockwise the lbs. will adjust a pound or two, that's it.

After turning the car off, the pressure gauge drops to 25 lbs. then after 20 to 30 minutes it goes to zero.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

fuel pressure should be between 38-40 PSI. I just had an issue over the weekend with my fuel pump building pressure. The car started, ran like crap & finally died & would not restart. fuel pressure with just key on (Pump no factory wired) was only 20 PSI. the pump was running but didn't sound right. I found that my main ground & fuel pump ground were loose. The regulator could be bad or the filter could be clogged or the pump could be clogged or failing too.
