I've been reading up on stangnet about nitrous kits and 9 out of 10 posts say that NX kits are the best kits to get. The posts also say that if you get all the safety accessories (Genx-2) upgrades then you dont have to worry about fuel puddling problems. My questions is this.......How long have you guys been running NX with all the safety stuff? Has anyone ever cracked their intake because of fuel pudding with the NX kit??

to my understanding, if u stay w/ a wet kit, you shouldnt have to worry about fuel puddling in the intake. Dry kits are where you may run into problems w/ fuel puddling. You should look into the NX NOSzle nitrous set-up, i know i have been you also want to have a purge kit, RPM window switch, and bottle heater to keep everything safe. Colder plugs will also help keep everything working properly and help avoid damage to you motor.

here is the NOSzle kit

WTF are you talking about....puddling is something you have to worry about with WET kits, because these kits throw nitrous AND FUEL into the intake. adry kit increases voltage to the injectors and put out more fuel into the cylinder head>>>>

so does anyone know about people who have had blown intakes with an NX kit with all the accessories?

I am thinking about getting this kit:

Your right, but their is no way to increase voltage to the injector with just a dry kit You need a piggybank ECU such as the PMS from Anderson Motorsport to increase voltage thus having more fuel in the cylinder head.

Oh yeah, I'm running 100shot on the street w/o the safety stuff. I think 100 is safe meaning I shouldn't have any fuel puddling inside the intake. I will recomend that you upgraded your clutch (if you have a manual car)

On return-style fuels systems aka 96-97's (and of course the 5.0) then all that is needed is to introduce pressure to the vac. reference port on the fuel pressure regulator. This is done by taking a bit of nitrous passing it through a regulator (on NOS kits its the blue thing between the solenoids) which allows the proper amount of pressure to be applied to the FPR thus raising fuel pressure. On the newer NR style systems a boost a pump or other electronic device( I believe edelbrock dry kits come with such device-as well as zex and venom). These devices do not change injector voltage, only voltage to the fuel pump which increases flow->increases pressure->more fuel per cycle. Thus the popularity of wet kits with the newer Mustangs.

Oh, and as stated above- WET kits can cause PUDDLING dry kits cannot. (ever seen a dry puddle??? )
