Is a 255lph fuel pump adequate enough for 400rwhp? I am getting detionation and nothing seems to be helping. I have a methanol/water injection kit and I guess I dont have it setup right. Also, is anyone using granatellis after market coil packs? I know that they work really well but cost 650 dollars and if you guys think this might fix it I'll drop the cash and get them.

the problem is that you are considering a product from granatelli. to say their products are of questionable quality is a huge understatement.

I think your best bet in terms of reliability and performance are the stock motorcraft coils and a KB boost-a-spark (if needed)

I wouldn't waste the money on the coil packs. There are plenty of people running at your power level and then some with the stock ones. What have you tried to cure the detonation? Has it had this problem since the tune was installed, and what have you done to the car mod wise since the tune was created?

Why are you going with a 255??? That is a return style fuel pump??? We have a returnless system... Go with SVT Focus pump of a Ford GT pump... $80-$90 shipped... about an 1 hr to put either in!!!

I've tried different plugs, changing the gap, running meth/water injection, different tune, but nothing seems to help. the only thing i think help it was running 110 octane fuel in it. didn't seem to notice it.

I don't know why I put 255 lph pump? I was reading a magazine when I posted this so I posted what i read. the pump that is in there is the one that vortech supplied. maybe i should get a boost a pump and boost a spark also. I'm going to take it to Ft. Lauderdale to a tuner who deals with the meth/water inj. tuning all the time. He doesn't sell the granatelli coil packs but he did recommend that I needed some more spark. How much more voltage does the boost a spark add over stock?
