fuel pump cut off

Has anyone had a problem with their automatic fuel pump cut off switch. Its happened to me twice since ive owned the car (first time was a couple months ago took it back to the dealership they had it for a couple days then said nothing was wrong with it). What happens is when I go to start it it trys to turn over then nothing I have to click the reset button thats located on the left panel by ones foot. Its only happened twice but really scared the &*^% outa me when I went to start it then and nothing happened..........

i was working on a grand marquis the other day. when i hit the 1/4 with a hammer, the switch reset itself. did you maybe hit a hard bump, or anything similar?

This just happened to me yesterday. I was driving and the car just died. Had to have it towed to the dealership. They just called and said it was the rollover switch . Guess I hit a bump and that set it off. Crazy that a bump will trip a rollover switch.
