My fuel pump just stop working.. don't know why.. do the fuel pump got a fuse? If it does, where it's supposed to be? I know that this pump got a switch.. but it isn't the problem..the switch is OK.And where is the pump? in the tank or outside?

Thanks in advance..

/\ /\ /\ /\ I actually work at autozone instead. :p

They have a relay under the driver's seat. Turn the key and put your hand on the relay, you should feel it click. If it doesn't click, unplug it and check for power there. I forget the pin # but there is a pin on the computer that controls the fuel pump. Check to see if you can wire the pump directly and it work.

Ok guys, I've tapped on the side of the inertia switch as you said, without any results, I've check the relay under the driver seat.. and it does the "click" as you said.. so.. if my pump got power, and my inertia switch isn't the cause.. it is the pump right?

Could it be the fuel filter that is blocked?

with the motor off, heck even with it on, you should DEFINITLY hear your pump click on if it is working.... If your relay is clicking that the system is fine and there is power getting to it.... When you kick the switch to "on" that pump should be very audible.... Otherwise it is shot.... It's really not that hard to change though....

My 92 2.3l LX stopped on the highway while my grilfirend was driving it.

I was a month in spain, when I got back, I hear fuel pump whine for less than a second on turning key to run position.

I looked under the seat for the relay and found a plug wire that looks like it might plug into a relay, but for the life of me cannot find the relay, I tried shorting the plug, but just got dead short repsponse (much sparking) even with key in the off position.

Help! I really don't want to swap out the fuel pump, especially if that isn't the problem.
Is there a possibility that they eliminated the underseat relay in the 92 LX hatchback 2.3?

I just changed out radiator and water pump, I really love my dark green pony. just over 100k miles, runs clean (until it quit)

Over the summer i had the exact same thing happen to my 88 2.3 had the click underneath the seat and everything, ended up replacing the fuel pump (and eventually the Ignition module underneath the distributer and the inertia switch in the trunk) and it works fine now just a pain in my ass, it'd die for no reason sometimes, now runs as smooth as silk
