hi, my car started as an 87 5.0 automatic. i put in a 86 5.0 h.o., t5, pedals, a9l computer, MAF harness and meter, under dash harness, and t5 wiring harness all out of an 89 gt. Before when i just had in the new engine and tranny and no wiring/computer changes the fuel pump would prime, i could hear it and fuel was coming out of the line in the engine bay(the connection was loose). the car was not cranking at that point tho. Now, i have in all the above items and after allowing the a9l a night to learn the new setup the car was cranking this morning when i pressed in the clutch as it should. However, the fuel pump was not priming and the car has no fuel in the lines(i checked). Also, maybe more importantly the blue fusible link going to the starter relay(hooked up on the same part as the positive batter cable) that comes from the dash harness i later found out had melted. Also, the orange/yellow wire going from dash harness where it hooks up to the computer/maf harness(green 8 pin pigtail) melted. I found out this goes to the vehicle speed sensor? i just bypassed the sensor because i cant find ANYWHERE on the t5 to hook it up. I already had to splice the NSS and reverse lights into the broken connector on the 1 foot long pigtail coming from the t5. i could be wrong but thats what the wiring diagram told me. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
