So I have a 94' with 95k on it and im wondering if my fuel pump is going. if you turn the key, the fuel pump is puttin off a low pitched sound instead of the higher pitched sound it use to. the engine will turn over but wont start. i tried turning on and off the key a few times and then itll start and run for like a minute then die. Anybody know if it is the fuel pump or possibly a grounding issue?:Damnit:

Check your fuel pressure pick up a gauge. If it reads below 30psi while idling with vaccum on it's weak (needs replacing). Also turn the car off and see how long it takes to drop fuel pressure. If it drops rapidly your pump is unable to hold fuel pressure and needs to be replaced. Start with the cheapest item to replace......fuel filter

Agreed with Danny. Toss a gauge on it and note priming, cranking and idling (when it does) pressure. as it just about stops idling on its own, note if pressure has just taken a poop on you.

FWIW, the tank is not totally empty right? The pitch also changes when one is about out of fuel.

Good luck.
