I need to drain the fuel from my fuel rails on my 1993 mustang GT, I've been told the best way to do this is to disconnect the fuel pump relay and let the engine use all the fuel in its lines. There's just one problem i cant seem to find the fuel pump relay. The owners manual isnt too specific about it, and I just cant seem to find it, just wonderijng if anyone can tell me where it is, or knows of a better way to drain the fuel rails, thanks for the help

There is no fuel pump relay underneath my driver seat, i have started the car a few times and think i have located it near the intake tubing, there are two black relays underneath my intake pipe that click when i turn the ignition on. Could one of these possibly the fuel pump relay?

You don't need to drain the fuel rails with the stock rails. Just release any pressure with the Schrader valve into a couple of paper towels...you won't get much fuel. Then when you disconnect the locking fittings catch the fuel in a couple of paper towels..again you won't get much fuel. Throw the paper towels in the trash outside away from open flames and sparks, it will evaporate.

Yes, on your '93, the FP relay is next to the WOT relay under the hood.

Though I havent done it, I suppose opening the inertia switch would work.

Don's method is how I generally do it (I'm too lazy to fart around with pulling relays, etc).

Good luck.
