I have a 95 Mustang Cobra and I need to repace my fuel pump. I want to go to an aftermarket pump but don't want to go to big. so I was wondering what the stock fuel pump is rated at, and how big should I go with a nearly stock car. Thanks

255 LPH is good, leaves room for improvement... Make sure you DON'T get a BBK fuel pump, it won't fit in the stock fuel pump hanger and will be a huge pain in the ass to fabricate a new hanger...Go with gms, Jegs has em for about $125

You can go with a 255lph and not have a problem. If you still have your stock fuel pressure regulator the same amount of fuel is going to be dumeped as if it was stock fuel pump.

Thats not entirely true. The extra volume of fuel from the larger pump will increase the rail pressure slightly. My 190lph pump raised the pressure by about 2 psi. The 255 would probably raise it about 3psi. Neither is a big deal, but it will raise the pressure slightly nonetheless.

The stock fuel pump on a cobra is 110lph. I changed mine to a 155lph before I put the heads and cam on and still don't have any problems. If there is any possiblity of NOS or a blower go with a 190lph or better.

so since i'm replacing the pump in my GT, a 255 lph pump should be okay also? Added to that, I'm looking at a 351 in the next year, will that be a problem for the pump then? Sorry to sound so amateur, but...well...i am an amateur...
